Then (Now changelog)

April 2025

I’ve got back in to reading blogs so much — mostly via RSS — that I’ve been forgetting to post. This page, even, didn’t get a March update. Doing a little better with that lately. I even got around to finally writing about, as promised…

The Year of Nutritional Intentionality continues to progress. Without going into a lot of personal details, I’m at my lowest weight since I started recording it about 9 years ago.

Baseball season is underway. Between TV coverage of the Blue Jays and eventually catching a game or few of the local Red Wings games, I can tell spring is coming… even though the weather doesn’t want to reassure me of that quite yet.

Been reading some Robert Heinlein in the last few weeks. I’ve seen the Starship Troopers film multiple times; now I’ve read the book. Currently approaching halfway through Stranger in a Strange Land, with The Moon is a Harsh Mistress on deck.

Oh, and I got my first (and so far only) feedback email. (Hi, T!)

February 2025

The blog is coming together well. A lot of the things I wasn’t sure I could do with Bear have turned out to be non-issues, with the application of a little spit and polish CSS, HTML, and Markdown.

The Year of Nutritional Intentionality is going well one month in. I know I still owe you all a short write-up on that, to get that placeholder link out of the way. It’s coming, I promise. (Done.)

The end of my Bills’ season, and the not-going-greatness of the Sabres’ season has me gearing up for the return of NASCAR and baseball. Despite all the snow on the ground, they both make it feel like spring is just around the corner.

January 2025

With varying levels of success, I’ve eschewed New Year’s resolutions, and have attempted to take on yearly themes instead. For 2025, I selected the Year of Nutritional Intentionality.

Oh, yeah, and I’m writing this thing — and re-learning most of the CSS I forgot in college to style it the way I like.
